Israeli occupying forces killed 55 more Palestinians in an attack on the Gaza Strip, bringing the total death toll to 39,145 since October 7th, 2023, according to the Health Ministry in the enclave on Wednesday, July 24, 2024.
The ministry’s statement added that approximately 90,257 others have been injured in the attacks.
“Israeli forces killed 55 people and injured 110 others in three massacres against families in the past 24 hours,” the ministry said. “Many people remain trapped under the rubble and in the streets as rescue teams are unable to reach them,” it added.
Disregarding the UNSC resolution demanding an immediate ceasefire, Israel faces international condemnation amid the ongoing brutal assault on Gaza since the Hamas attack on October 7, 2023.
More than nine months into the Israeli occupation, much of Gaza has been devastated by a crippling blockade of food, clean water, and medicine.
Israel stands accused of committing genocide in the ICJ, whose latest ruling orders Tel Aviv to immediately cease its military operations in the southern city of Rafah, where over one million Palestinians sought refuge from the war before it was stormed on May 6.
